The Mining and Sustainable Development practice group of Estudio Muñiz and the Ius Et Veritas Magazine of the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru organized the I Specialization Course in Mining and Sustainable Development. Daniel Palomino, a partner and director of the Mining and Sustainable Development practice law of the firm, acted as moderator in a panel discussion on “Social License and the State’s Role”; Yegros Martínez, a senior associate and member of our Labor and Social Security Law practice group, dealt with occupational safety and health in mining; Tony Bustamante, an associate lawyer, gave a lecture on permits for the implementation of mining projects, and Melissa Morán, also a lawyer of Estudio Muñiz, discussed mining formalization and illegal mining.
