The
El Brujo archaeological complex is located on the right side of Chicama Valley, La Libertad Region, 60 minutes drive from the city of Trujillo, in northern Peru. This archaeological complex houses truncated pyramids built more than 4,500 years ago. Our Firm prepared the agreement signed between Fundación Wiese, which has been funding archaeological research work conducted by different entities at this site, and the National Institute of Culture of La Libertad, in order to restore the value of this archaeological complex. The agreement, which may be also useful for other archaeological sites, is aimed at recovering Peru’s cultural heritage by having the private sector work closely with the State.
"Inmed Partnerships for Children" is a non-profit development organization founded in 1986 to develop healthy and educated children. This organization came to Peru in 2004, through Inmed Andes, and launched the project entitled “Bebe Sanito” (Healthy Baby). Together with the Regional Health Bureau of Ucayali and other organizations like USAID, Prisma and Janssen-Cilag, it has undertaken an aggressive deparasitation campaign in the Ucayali Jungle region. Besides doing all the paperwork required to organize this entity as a non-profit association, our Firm also took the necessary steps to have it registered as an Income Tax-exempt entity and as a donation recipient. To contribute to the success of “Bebe Sanito”, our Firm also provided legal advice on the import of medicine.

"Fundación para el Desarrollo Solidario" –
Fundades is another entity whose purpose is to contribute to improve the quality of life among poor people by promoting and implementing assistance projects, namely health programs, projects for abandoned children, education, culture, and sports programs, projects for disabled individuals, and environmental programs. Our Firm helps “Fundades” in several ways. In the labor field, it answers inquiries related to the legal rules on employee hiring, while in the tax field it provides advice on tax refund. It has also dealt with municipal and corporate issues.

Since 1999, more than 2,000 people, including children, youths and adults, have had harelip and cleft palate surgery under the
"Operación Sonrisa Perú" program, thanks to Peruvian and foreign medical doctors and specialists who have volunteered to take part in this program. Our Firm recently supported the X International Mission organized by "Operación Sonrisa Perú" whereby 130 patients had harelip and cleft palate surgery, free of cost. The mission was carried out from May 22 to 30, 2008 at "Hospital Daniel Alcides Carrión", in Callao, Peru. A group of volunteers from our Firm were in charge of obtaining surgery authorization from the children’s parents. The Firm has been serving on the board of directors of "Operación Sonrisa Perú" since 2005.
