Our Bankruptcy and Restructuring Practice Area covers all fields related to corporate insolvency situations, including turnarounds, investment in distressed companies and senior lending.

 

With a team of experienced attorneys, we have been involved in major insolvency-related transaction in Peru, whether as counsel to the debtor, the creditor or the syndicate of creditors, investors or third parties interested in the outcome of the proceeding. Within the scope of our expertise, we have applied, for the first time ever in Peru, legal devices and tools to turnarounds and liquidations such as asset trusts and syndicated loan agreements.

 

In the restructuring regulatory arena, we were invited to participate in the legal reforms carried out by the Peruvian governmental agency in charge of insolvency and bankruptcy proceedings (Comisión de Procedimientos Concursales of the Instituto Nacional de Defensa de la Competencia y de la Protección de la Propiedad Intelectual – INDECOPI), as well as in academic research for the World Bank.
