Foreign Trade and Customs Law Practice Group

The Foreign Trade and Customs Law Practice Group is composed of a team of highly qualified professionals graduated from the most renowned national and international universities. They specialize in the different fields of foreign trade and customs law and have vast experience both in the public sector, as many of them have worked in the past with the Customs Administration, as well as in the private sector.

Moreover, the lawyers who form part of this Practice Group are members of foreign trade and customs associations and institutions and take part in their consultative committees, for which reason they have collaborated with several State entities in drafting legal rules related to these sectors.

The Foreign Trade and Customs Law Practice Group has characteristically provided and provides comprehensive specialized services related to the preparation of international purchase-sale agreements, means of payment, transportation and insurance, etc.

Our advice focuses on port and airport services, tax-customs treatment, audit procedures, non-contentious procedures, international transactions, foreign trade planning, preventive and corrective audits, preferential tariff treatment based on international agreements within the framework of the Andean Community of Nations (CAN), the Latin American Integration Association (ALADI) and the different Free Trade Treaties signed by Peru. Moreover, it includes all the steps to be taken with the National Superintendency of Tax Administration (SUNAT), the Tax Court, and the Judiciary.
