The city of Ica is situated 300 km. south of Lima and during the past several years has been enjoying a boom in agriculture and agroindustry that has given rise to the growth and economic development of some of the most flourishing export-oriented agricultural companies on the Peruvian coast, which basically grow paprika, grapes, asparagus, and mangos, among other crops.
